First, if you are not familiar with Skype, check out this video to get a sense of what Skype is.
(Note: This video might be a little dated, but it gives us a good idea of what Skype can do.)

Did I mention there is a free version of the Skype service. You can pay more for some more features, if you want, but free sounds good.
Now, let's download the Skype software on your computer. It is free too. (There are Android and Apple apps.)
- Download and stall the software on your Windows computer or download and install the software on your Mac computer. Be sure to follow instructions on the screen.
- Once you have the Skype software up and running, you'll see a contacts list on the screen. Add me (williamhartphd) to the contacts list.
- To make a call, click on a person in the contacts list and click on the "Call" or "Video Call" options.
To test things out, you may want to Skype me now or you could help a friend or family member get set up with Skype and Skype them.
